Safari Blue Dayout

It’s a whole day sea adventure tour that gives unquestionably experience to remember in your life. The trip starts from Fumba fishing village situated about 17 Km south-west of Stone town. Once arriving at the Fumba coast, the guests will be introduced briefly about the safari blue day excursion. Then, they will be taken by traditional sailing wooden dhows to explore the natural beauty of Menai Bay. The bay is a home of many attractive features and organisms including pristine white sandbanks, sea grasses, pristine coral reefs, tropical fishes, Crystal-clear turquoise, beautiful uninhabited islets, bottlenose and humpback species of dolphins. In Menai bay, it’s where you can see dolphins hunting fishes and squid for eating. On this excursion, we will stop to one of the two pristine sandbanks surrounding with beautiful blue water for swimming and snorkeling in the morning session.

After swimming and snorkeling, you can relax on the soft white sand beach on the sandbank for sunbathing, drinking fresh green coconut water and light snacks. Lastly dhow would take you back and come to a restaurant at Kwale Island for lunch. The lunch is delicious local Zanzibar meals including served hot Seafood, Chicken, and Rice buffets. After that, you may refresh with tropical fresh fruits and Chilled tropical fresh fruit juices. Quality mineral water, ice-cold sodas and bottled soft drinks are available throughout the trip.

When the tide is normal you can explore the beautiful mangrove lagoon “famously known as a natural
swimming pool” within Kwale Island. On the Kwale Island, the guests can have a chance to swim through the mangrove forest and climb a baobab tree aged over 200 years to get a great view from the top. The baobab fell down over 70 years ago but is still alive and continues to grow. At the end of the excursion, we shall go back to Fumba village by sailing boat and you can see the color of African sunset in the evening.
