-Start the day with a pick-up from your destination/ hotel in Stone Town and a short drive to the Zanzibar Ferry Terminal.
-Take a motorized boat ride to Prison Island (also known as Changuu Island), which takes approximately 30 minutes. During the boat ride, you can enjoy the scenic views of the Indian Ocean.
-Upon arrival at Prison Island, you will be welcomed by our tour guide who will take you on a tour of the island. The guide will tell you about the history and culture of the island.
-Visit the giant tortoise sanctuary on the island, where you can see, take memorable photos, and feed the giant tortoises. These tortoises are over 100 years old and are a popular attraction on the island.
-Take a short walk through the forest and visit the ruins of the old prison that was built on the island in the 1860s. The prison was never actually used as a prison, but instead, it was used as a quarantine station for yellow fever.
-After exploring the prison ruins, take a stroll along the white sandy beach and enjoy the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean.
-You can opt for some snorkeling and swimming at the beach or enjoy other water activities like kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, or parasailing at an additional cost.
-Take some time to relax and enjoy the scenic views of the ocean before heading back to Stone Town.
-Return to the Zanzibar Ferry Terminal and once back in Stone Town, the tour concludes with a drop-off at your destination/hotel.
